Hello everyone, it's Kyota here again
to bring you another E-mail Picks video
So today we're going to look at how to
write a serious but personal "thank you" e-mail.
So my company held an event last
week and we invited a guest speaker.
We had a university professor from another
country come in to give a talk on how to
train employees better.
Well the event was successful and the professor went
home safely, so now I want to write him a
"thank you" e-mail and also in this e-mail I
want to make a comment on his
presentation because I personally
enjoyed it very much. So here's what I'm
going to write: Dear Prof. Dean,
on behalf of the whole staff, I would
like to express our sincere gratitude to
you for participating in our conference
last Thursday, and for giving a very
insightful presentation. I personally
learned a lot from the part about the
flipped classroom. How time flew by!
I hope your stay was a pleasant one and we
look forward to seeing you again soon.
Best regards, Kyota Ko. OK so I'm
saying thank you as a representative of
my company by writing "on behalf of the
whole staff I would like to express our
sincere gratitude." I'm also thanking him
as a member of the audience by saying "I
personally learned a lot and how time
flew by." So here I'm saying the
presentation was so interesting that
time went by so quickly. So this is a
nice, formal e-mail with a little personal
touch. I'm going to send this to Professor
Dean and I hope this will give you some
ideas on what to write the next time you
have a special guest. See you next time.
