So, I'm gonna recommend an idea.
Hey, why don't we learn useful business phrases?
You've just read my mind. Right?
Right, did you say it?
Next time say it in a real meeting. Okay?
All right, so what would you do?
Okay, here's what I often hear.
This is a real situation with my old boss.
You know, I would say...
Hey, what are we going to do about this problem?
This is a serious problem.
What do we do? What do we do?
And Taro has no idea.
And he says Hmmm... Yeah, its' difficult.
It makes it sound like Taro has no idea.
He doesn't know.
Hmm, not good.
So instead of just saying it's difficult or I don't know,
you throw the question back at the other person.
So If I say...
Hey, what are you going to do?
Or what are we going to do about this problem?
It's a serious problem.
What do we do Taro? What do we do?
And then Taro just says.
Well, what would you do?
And then Ill relax and go...
What would I do? What would I do?
What would I do?
And Taro has a little breather, and then he could think
What should I do? What should I do?
It buys you sometime. They're useful, okay?
So let's practice the pronunciation.
It's, whawoujyou do. whawoujyou
whawoujyou
Well, whawoujyou do?
Kinda like that. Well, what would you do?
Okay?
Let's try it with a question, so I would say...
