しばらく連絡を取り合っていない知り合いに、突然どこかで再会！なんてことありますよね。
今回はそんな時に使えるフレーズです。
例えば、タロウが久しぶりにヒカに偶然道端で再会し声をかけられました。
あなたがタロウなら何と返しますか？
“Taro, long time no see.”「タロウ、久しぶり。」とヒカが声をかけてきました。
返答に
“Oh, long time no see.”「おぉ、久しぶり。」
と全く同じフレーズを使っても間違いではありませんが、他の表現で話を続けてみるのはいかがでしょう。
そこで
“It’s been ages. How’ve you been?”「久しぶり。元気にしてた？」
と言ってみましょう。より自然に聞こえます。
“How are you?”は普段からコンタクトをとっている人に対して使います。
ここでは前回会ってから時間が経過していますので”How’ve you been?”を使ってみましょう。
話し方は、”It’s been ages.”の後に少し間をあけてから話を続けましょう。
