Point 87 ”step down”
“Why isn’t Yuki on the manager’s list?”「
“She gave up to be a manager.”「
“She stepped down from the position.”「

And Taro says yeah she gave up to be a
manager. She gave up to be a manager.
Yeah give up has a negative meaning.
You know so we don't use it
so often in in this situation. She gave up.

We can say this. So I say Taro why isn't Yuki on
the managers' list? And Taro says
well she stepped down from the position.
Oh I see she stepped down. And you can
give a reason too.
Because you know she got married or
because
whom she's her mother got sick.
Or you know you could have a reason
too. It's not necessary.
Just she stepped down from the position.
Step down is not a negative word.
Okay.
Not, not. but give up has a negative
meaning.
I hope you see the difference. Okay.
so let's practice pronunciation. It's not

and down. So you could say she stepped down. She stepped down. She stepped down from
the position.

try. Good okay with my question.
