相手に対し、やる気を示した受け答えをする際に使えるフレーズです。
例えば、これからミーティングを始めようとしている中で、進行役の人が
“Are you ready to start our meeting?” 「ミーティングを始められますか?」
と言った際に「はい、もちろんです!」と伝えたい場合あなたならどういいますか?
普通に答えるのであれば、
“Yes, I am.”
となるでしょう。
でもこれだと、あまり意気込みを感じない答え方になってしまいます。
「もちろん!」といった感じで、やる気がこもった意味合いを相手に伝えるのであれば、
“You bet I am.”
と言うようにしましょう。
