「お噂」という言葉から、”rumor” 使ってしまう方もいるかもしれませんが、
通常、”rumor” はネガティブなイメージになりますので、このシーンでは使うべきではありません。
こういう時には、
“I’ve heard many good things about you.”
というと、ポジティブなイメージとして伝わりますね。
