Power outlet は電子機器を差し込んで充電などするための装置、日本語で言う「コンセント」のことです。
日本語で「コンセント」と呼ばれるようになったのは、明治時代に東京電燈会社が「コンセントリックプラグ」という装置を使用していたことから、「コンセント」と略され、言葉が普及したのではないかと言われています。
