Hello everyone, Justin here and welcome
to this week's Bizmates for Beginners.
Today we are going to learn the
expression "a breeze." So let's find out
what it means and how to use it, but
first everyone let's do a quick review
of last week's content.
Alright, so imagine everyone that I
say: You're going on vacation next week.
That's great but I hope we can survive.
Because you are such an important part
of the team, if you go away for a week I
don't know what the team is going to do
without you. So how do you respond to
make me feel better?
I'll give you five seconds to think
about it, okay? Are you ready?
Alright go!
And time is up everyone.
If you said: "Don't worry I'll touch base
with the team to check on everyone"
good job remembering that expression
"touch base." Okay so try to use this in
your daily conversation at your office
or with your friends. Okay so moving on
to "a breeze." Now this is what I sometimes
hear... okay I'm talking to Taro, my good
colleague, and Taro recently met with his
clients and they had to negotiate
something okay? So I asked him: How was
the negotiation? Because negotiations
right can be very difficult and he says:
It was very easy. OK good I'm very
happy to hear that. Taro is of course a very excellent and
competent worker, so I'm sure it was no
problem. But this expression, although
it's fine, we can use something a little
bit more interesting and that is... yes you
guessed it -- it was "a breeze." Alright so
whenever something is very easy,
it's not difficult -- it's a breeze, okay? So
for example: How was your last exam?
Was it difficult or was it easy? Well, if it's
very easy, it was "a breeze", alright?
OK so pronunciation everyone, nothing
special just as you see it here this
week. A breeze. OK so please repeat
after me: it was a breeze. Your turn.
Alright good job and after my question:
Hey, how was the negotiation?
Alright good. It was a breeze, okay?
Alright so please remember this for our
review next week.
OK our bonus question everyone is
another way to say: "find the problem."
You can find the answer in one of our
previous videos, so take a look if you
have some time and also leave the answer
in the comments if you've got a few
minutes, okay? Alright to everyone so that
is it for me this week, thank you always
for watching the channel. Have a great
weekend, I'll see you next time.
Thank you.
