Point 176 ”down pat”
“Do you need to practice your presentation more?”
“No.I can do completely.”
“No,I have it down pat.”

Hello, everyone.
Justin here and I am back with another Bizmates for beginners video lesson.
This week, everyone, we are going to take a look at the expression:
down pat.
So what does it mean? How do we use it?
Let's find out in today's video but first,
I want to make sure that all of you remember last week's class.
So let's do a quick review.
OK, imagine I ask you: Are you ready to get back to work?
How do you respond? I'll give you five seconds, okay? Go!
And time is up, everyone.
if you said "No, I'm still in vacation mode"
then you got it.
Nice job and thank you for remembering last week's class.
OK moving on to this week's expression:down pat.
This is what I sometimes hear:
Alright, I'm talking to my good friend and colleague, Taro, and taro,
he has a really important... really big presentation tomorrow,
so I asked him: "Do you need to practice your presentation more?"
And Taro, he says: No.I can do completely.
OK, well I'm very happy that Taro seems very confident and
he feels very good about his presentation.
But this expression here is not so natural.
So what should he say?
That's right, everyone.
He should say: "No,I have it down pat."
OK, so when you understand something or
when you can do something perfectly without any problems,
you have it down pat, okay everyone? Alright,
so the pronunciation here very simple;
just as it is written... down pat. Okay?
So please repeat after me.
No, I have it down pat. Your turn,
go ahead.
Exactly, good job. Okay, now after my question:
Do you need to practice your presentation more?
OK, good.
Alright, thank you very much so please remember this for next class, okay?
Alright, everyone. This week's bonus question is another way to say:
It's not interesting anymore.
OK, if you know the answer, leave it in the comments below,
go into the older previous Bizmates for beginners video lessons
if you don't know the answer, and try to find it if you can.
Alright everybody so that is it for me this week.
Thank you always for watching enjoy your weekend,
see you next time. Thank you.
